This science fiction movie trailer mashup was Mark O'Hara's main project for a Final Cut Pro course at a local comunity college.

Several Alien and Star Wars DVDs were rented and a variety of scenes from those movies were ripped into quicktime movies.

Then the FCP sequencing began, first by building up the suspense with some atmospheric shots from the Alien films.

To give the impression of a chase, shots of the alien and the robot running in the same direction were stitched together.

Dialog between C3PO and Ash the android was faked by creating a simple script of all the various unrelated dialog and putting those shots in a certain order to give the appearance of a conversation.
